Agile Manager (m/f) for George

Job description

Banking has a name. And we create it

For close to 4 million customers across Europe, George stands for a digital banking experience that combines design, technology and openness. Born and raised in the George Labs of Erste Group and the Digital Banking division of Erste Group IT International, we are designers and developers, analysts and engineers, product owners and product managers, architects, writers, coaches, testers and, well, a few bankers. We are agile & awesome, creative & brave, playful & serious. And we are looking for like-minded people to join us.

As a great Agile Manager, you don’t ask ‘How can I manage this team?’, but instead ask ‘What does this team need in order to manage itself?’ Creating an environment that encourages high-performing agile George feature squads to flourish and produce value is your pathway to delighting customers. You will have an active role leading the implementation of the new agile way of working over multiple locations (Bratislava, Vienna, Prague) and be responsible for the adoption, success, and ongoing improvement of agile development within the squads. Identifying queues and excess Work in Progress (WIP) allows you to continually focus on eliminating waste and delays. You inspire and motivate others by empowering them with guidance and belief, nurturing a culture of relentless improvement that protects the resources required for teams to innovate and iterate.

  • An ability to face-off against senior level management in both IT and business

  • Experience with  staffing, salary and bonus distribution and supporting hiring targets

  • Knowledge of formalizing and tracking KPIs and targets for each squad

You will impress us by

  • Providing a clear purpose, focus, stability, and personal growth for your teams, acting as “servant leader”

  • Creating a trust-based environment and sharing your experiences unconditionally

  • Understanding the importance of bold experimentation and embracing continuous improvement

  • Valuing team culture over project culture

  • Expressing your values and opinions in fluent English

Why you will like us

  • We work hard, but in a relaxed, open and friendly environment
